Our Monday....

Meet my nephew Thomas.

He's very shy

and doesn't like looking at the camera

but he likes cookies

and he loves his mama

and enjoys watching over her while she updates her facebOok page

Thomas and Lexi came over to visit yesterday because...

Uncle Dustin had a GEG layover and came to visit us!!

He too needed to update his FaceboOk page

but he also really wanted to take the pink princess scooter for a spin

before we had dinner, Miya and her aunt had a little chat

and then I was hell bent on getting some cute pics of my kid and nephew

except these two tots were in no mood to cooperate.

say cheese, wait, stay there Miya...wait, hold on...

hold on, stay there Thomas!

Miya, sit on the chair with Thomas, SMILE!

Oh nevermind, go play on the pink princess scooter with your uncle.

Our weekend.

We are laying low and nursing our colds.

What a week.

My girl is sick. again. She's been sick all week. I'm taking her to the Dr. this afternoon to rule out an ear infection or something worse. She's had (and still has) fevers, a nasty sounding cough, boogers galore, she barfed once, and hasn't been sleeping well.

I feel and look like this:

In other news...

  • My taxes have been filed! I'm getting a FATTY refund. Thank you adoption tax credit.

  • My fancy dancy camera has been purchased, it has arrived, and I'm slowly figuring it out. As soon as I figure out how to download the pics, I'll post some. You will laugh when you see my pictures so far, CLEARLY I have a lot to learn. I will say this tho...3 weeks ago I had no idea what aperture, shutter-speed, white balance, F-Stops, or exposure were and I am excited to report that I do now, but I still have a LONG way to go.

  • It's March, it's still snowing here and it's colder than you know what. Yesterday's high was 11 degrees. I'm sick of it. I'm cold.

  • I whacked all my hair off. It's in a short bob type cut now. I needed a change. I got one, a couple actually.

  • Next weekend Miya and I are having photos taken, professionally.

  • I need to cut my cable. Money is tight. I'm having a hard time doing it. I don't want to do it. I need to do it. Maybe I'll do it at the end of April. Maybe not.

  • Miya's new words are more (moh), ball, cheese, and milk (mil). You go girl.

  • Grandpa is teaching Miya how to bake:

TGIF - gotta run!

We miss your blog...

I know you do :-) at least a few of you miss my blog because you've either called me or emailed me to tell me.

I've had a lot going on these past few weeks, which included not having computer access for a couple of weeks...I almost died w/out a computer by the way....well, not really...well, maybe...

So, to help tide ya over until I get around to updating the blog I give you a bit of breaking news and a photo.

The news as of 8:00a.m. this morning:

One month ago I joined the Biggest Loser contest my work is putting on as part of our wellness program. One month ago I weighed in and haven't been on the scale since. This morning, I was formally weighed in and to my SURPRISE SURPRISE, I lost 7.6 pounds last month. Totally not expecting that. In fact, my co-worker practically had to drag me over to health services to weigh-in because I wanted to quit and I DID NOT want to get on that scale. Peer pressure won that battle and I'm glad it did. I'm chalking it up to stress, cause I certainly haven't been exercising...although, I have been eating better. So, that was very exciting and now I'm even more motivated to keep on going!

Ummmm, yeah...

I am without computers. Yes, plural. My home computer is being reloaded after being hit with a NASTY virus and my work computer is down after getting hit with another NASTY virus (along with 90% of the campus).

Soooo, no blogging for me. I'll post as soon as I can, we had a GREAT trip to AZ!
